Happy Birthday Event Vines!

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since our launch. Take a look at what we’ve been up to over the last year!

#GetHealthyGetTogether Event

April 2016, Austin blogger Camille Styles hosted her first-ever #GetHealthyGetTogether event. We were super excited to sponsor and attend the event, which was held at the oh-so-chic South Congress Hotel. If you aren’t following Camille’s blog yet, you’re missing out! Be sure to visit her site here.  Also, sign up for her newsletter to get insider event invitations, behind the scenes photos, and exclusive recipes delivered right to your inbox! MOD Fitness delivered a challenging and fun workout for the 300+ guests who attended. Guests enjoyed healthy juices and snacks, manicures, and giveaways from the sponsors. Read our post about the event here.

Connecting with Camille was such a treat, as she has been a huge source of inspiration throughout our journey. Her blog and book have taught us so much about finding our own personalized style and leading with grace. Furthermore, with her background in event planning, Camille recognizes how valuable a site like Event Vines is to Austin’s event community. She offered words of encouragement and provided support through her review of our services. Thanks, Camille!

Website Launch + Launch Party

Event Vines’ website launched on June 1, 2016! Our first month was such an invaluable learning experience. Managing a membership-based website and bootstrapping a startup is quite the challenge! Luckily, we rounded up feedback from event venues and vendors in order to improve our offerings and key messaging. Thank you all for your words of encouragement!

Later that month, we hosted our launch party at the gorgeous Malverde. La Condesa provided snacks and drinks, and guests were treated to beats by DJ Alfa Leone and photo booth fun! Read more about our launch party here!

Co-Branded Events

We took advantage of the perfect fall weather in November and hosted our first-ever “Friendsgiving” brunch. Guests brunched for a good cause, with a portion of ticket sales going to the Central Texas Food Bank. The charming Weather Up bar on the East Side hosted the outdoor brunch. In addition, Austin’s own Tito’s Vodka sponsored cocktails, and DJ LouLou set a groovy mood that fit the beautiful day perfectly.

In December, we teamed up with the South Congress Hotel for their inaugural Winter Workshop Series. These co-branded craft workshops were led by local Austin blogger Alejandra Hill. Workshops were held at the community table in the lobby bar, which was also used for our flower crown workshop! In addition, Event Vines founder Callie Ogden was featured on the local news to talk about the series! She taught the news anchors how to create their own holiday crafts, and helped market the hotel in a fun, interactive new way. Watch the FOX 7 segment with Callie here. This unique co-branded series increased bar sales, and led to great exposure of the hotel’s beautiful spaces.

Booking + Lead Generation

Almost immediately after our launch, event organizers of large corporations like Facebook and SHI International began contacting us for booking support. Especially in the corporate scene, the event research and request for quote process is legwork that has been happily and readily outsourced to Event Vines. Our booking agents sort through the options, contact vendors and venues about availability and pricing, set up appointments and ensure that contracts are getting signed promptly – as to keep everything moving smoothly. For an additional fee, event planners can have our booking agents curate menus, mood boards and pick out rental pieces to fit the budget and style needs of your event.

With a high demand for booking support – we’ve been generating loads of leads for our members – the Event Vines tribe. Many of our leads come from booking requests, but social media has also been a huge source of lead generation for us. Our social media journey has been like a snowball traveling down a mountain – the momentum and reach has expanded – which also continues to provide value to our brand’s impact. Everyone who is a part of the Event Vines tribe and our social media posts is rising with us! Anyone browsing any of our social media feeds can click the link in our bio to easily access the related blog post or listings that we reference – which makes the content engagement even more powerful.

SXSW Connect + Grow Lounge

SXSW is a buzzing adult playground with no shortage of fun things to do. Thankfully Event Vines’ Connect + Grow Lounge was able to provide a zen-like oasis for festival-goers to chill out and recharge! Held at The Vaughn, a rooftop event space in the heart of downtown Austin, the SXSW Connect + Grow Lounge transported guests to a tropical, bohemian wonderland. The lounge was exquisitely designed by local interior designer Natalie Holzem, who also happens to be an Event Vines booking agent! Event Vines founder, Callie Ogden was featured as a expert speaker on local podcast Chat My Event about festivals – listen here.
