Austin’s Own Winter Wonderland
Event Vines recently collaborated with Hotel Ella to spread holiday cheer to the Austin community with some family-friendly events. Held the second and third Sundays in December from 11am – 1pm, the “Santa’s Workshop” events were a hit with kids and parents alike. Santa was in the parlor taking photos and gift requests – as well as handing out presents! The Event Vines crew was on hand helping kids make festive snowman gift boxes and handmade holiday cards. Parents enjoyed cocktails in the Parlor Bar and families shared a delicious brunch from on-site restaurant, Goodall’s Kitchen.
Modern Luxury and Rich History
Located off Martin Luther King Blvd. on Rio Grande St., Hotel Ella is housed in the historic Goodall Wooten House- one of Austin’s original landmark estates. In 1897, Thomas Dudley Wooten, one of the founders of the University of Texas, purchased the land on which Hotel Ella now sits. Wooten’s son, Goodall, moved into the home on the property in 1900 and oversaw its transformation into the Greek revival-style mansion you see today. After undergoing an extensive renovation in 2013, Hotel Ella now offers the perfect balance between modern luxury and rich history.

Hotel Ella was named one of Austin’s most stylish boutique hotels by USA Today and featured in Forbes Travel Guide. With 47 luxurious guest rooms and suites featuring premium amenities and custom-built furniture, a stay at the Hotel Ella is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
